The German evening course in small groups
The classic evening course takes place once or twice a week. The atmosphere is relaxed, and there is time to get to know the other course participants better.
In a German evening course, the size of the group is important. The fewer participants there are in a group, the faster you will make progress. When learning a German, it is important that you speak it as often as possible. This is only possible in small groups. Through frequent interaction, you learn German without having to focus extensively on grammar rules, as you quickly develop a feeling for the language.
With smaller groups, our teachers also have the opportunity to try out unconventional learning methods, such as role-playing.
German evening courses for beginners or advanced learners
Our evening courses are based on the European Framework of Reference for Languages. This means that beginners without basic knowledge start with level A1. This is followed by levels A2, B1 and B2. Course participants who want to master the German language perfectly may continue with levels C1 and C2. Many language courses follow this pattern, so if you want to transfer from another language school, it’s no problem to continue from where you left off.
If you do not know your current level, simply take a placement test. You can find this on the Internet or you can visit us in Karlsruhe. We will be happy to show you our classrooms, and you can also take the test in-person. The test only takes a few minutes, and you will know afterwards which course is suitable for you. This means that you will neither be over- nor under-challenged by the lessons.
The German course in Karlsruhe is taught by native speakers
You can only learn correct pronunciation through a perfect language role model. For this reason, native speakers are the main teachers at the Sprachschule Aktiv in Karlsruhe. This way, you learn the correct intonation right from the start. But that is not enough for us. It is equally important to us that the teachers have pedagogical training. You will receive lessons according to the latest scientific findings that are both instructive and fun. In addition, we only hire teachers with a friendly personality.
Our teachers do not only teach you the German language; they also show you the German culture and way of life. They often organise excursions to famous sights or simply take the students to a typical German restaurant after class.
