Before you apply for a visa, you must first register for a suitable German course.

Our intensive courses take place from Monday to Friday in the morning. The teachers follow the Common Framework of Reference for Foreign Languages, which divides the language into six levels from A1 to C2. You will need about two months for one level.

You must submit the following documents for a language visa

  • Two visa application forms
  • A valid passport
  • Two biometric passport photos
  • Certificate from Sprachschule Aktiv confirming participation in the language course
  • Proof of secondary school matriculation
  • Proof that you have paid the visa and course fees
  • Proof of health insurance

In rare cases, you may not be granted a visa despite having valid documents. In this case, please submit the relevant notification to Sprachschule Aktiv, and you will receive your money back. We will, however, retain a processing fee of 250 Euros.

If you do not receive the visa in time, we can postpone the start of the course by up to four months, free of charge.

Sprachschule Aktiv in Karlsruhe will help you fill out the application form

After enrolment, you must pay a deposit of half of the course fees, after which we will send you a confirmation of course enrolment. You will need this proof of enrolment to apply for a visa. At the same time, we will send you a visa application form. You will receive the visa from the German consulate in your home country. The application is extensive and a mistake can easily lead to rejection. We will be happy to help you fill it out and advise you if you have any problems.

Finding a flat with Sprachschule Aktiv

Finding a flat from abroad is not easy, especially if you do not yet speak the German language well. We work together with various partners, through whom we will be happy to find you a flat.
